ELECTROLYSIS for hair removal
Today with the popularity of IPL and laser, Electrolysis is now normally used on small areas of hair growth. Each hair is treated individually, which makes it a long slow process in comparison.
Electrolysis is an effective treatment for small areas of hair and hair of varying colours. Large areas of hair are normally more effectively treated with IPL or laser machine.
A fine probe is inserted into each hair follicle, down which passes an electrical current, which works at destroying the hair root.
As our body naturally aims to repair any damage you will find that is takes quite a few treatments to be successful.
Best results are achieved when the initial treatments are regularly placed, ensuring that you are treating the hair root at its most active growing stage. This is when the hair is very short on the surface of the skin. As the hair that you see on the surface grows longer, the root under the skin in the hair follicle decreases in size. Just under this root at the base of the hair follicle, a new hair is germinating and so the cycle of the hair continues.
AFTERCARE
It is highly recommended that you pay particular attention to the skin on the treated area. As it is being repeatedly probed with a currant, the skin can become very dry and discoloured. The skin should be nourished, observed and treated accordingly.
As treatment progresses the hair growth slows considerably and the hair becomes fine. The skin suffers less trauma, therefore is healthier and smooth.
A consultation is recommended to ensure electrolysis is the correct treatment for you.
We will explain the process, estimated results and post skincare.

SPECILISED ELECTROLYSIS skin tag and red vein removal
There is no hard fast rule why skin tags appear. They are very common appearing on most parts of the body, most commonly, the face, neck, underarm, chest, stomach, groin, back and arms. Size and colour varies considerably.
For Specialised Electrolysis, we use a diathermy currant which is a direct heat. This is used through a fine probe to cauterise the skin tag or red vein. There is an element of pain in this process but it is a most effective treatment. The skin tag normally disappears within days and the skin is perfect. The little veins after treated, incur a small scab or crust which you must not remove. Avoid rough cleansing as the crust should remain until it comes off naturally again leaving perfect skin. The scab acts as a natural plaster to protect the skin as it heals underneath.
